An 80-year-old Dauphin County nursing home patient was found lying in his own feces while suffering from ulcers on his lower back weeks before he got sepsis and died, according to a recently released grand jury presentment.

Now, more than a year after the victim’s death, police charged Eliut Lopez Enriquez, who was an assistant director of nursing at The Gardens at Blue Ridge nursing home, with two counts of neglect of a care-dependent person — one felony count and one misdemeanor count — abuse of a care-dependent person and simple assault, both misdemeanors.
